Qld Mid Amateur Championship

Day 3.

Tony Summerfeldt was consistent, returning a 77 to finish up in a tie for 17th. Jason Duffy shot a final round 81 including a monster birdie putt on 16, to be in 50th position.

Not so lucky was Scott Karandrews who's 98 left him in 201st spot.

The boys all proved great representatives of the club however and we look forward to their continued participation in these events.

Qld Mid Am Day 2.

It wasn't the day we had been hoping for.

Tony Summerfeldt knocked his tee shot into the water on his first two holes but recovered to return another 78 to be tied for 30th position. He had his name on both long drives but eventually they went west too.

Jason Duffy commented,  "Everything that went right yesterday went wrong." He carded an 88 to be in 66th place.

Scott Karandrews has a total of 202 and is quite a way behind the leader who  is on 139. It didn't help when his tee shot on an early par three finished 10m short of the green and he made 9!

He did have some excuse for the poor day but asked that the other player's name not be revealed.

Final day tomorrow.  Have fun.

Day 1 at Royal Pines saw Jason Duffy include an eagle in an opening 75 to finish the day tied for 12th place. Tony Summerfeldt was three shots further back tied for 34th. Unfortunately,  Scott Karandrews raised his bat after a century and is well back at 205th.

The leader is at 69.
