New COVID Regulations for Redcliffe Golf Club

01 April 2021

Due to the current restrictions changing we have reviewed our clubhouse and golf operations ensuring procedures are in place that minimise close person-to-person contact where possible.

In line with the Queensland Roadmap to easing restrictions, the below will remain in force until 12 noon Thursday 15 April 2021.

Roadmap can be viewed here https://www.covid19.qld.gov.au/government-actions/roadmap-to-easing-queenslands-restrictionsThe following are Specific Changes RGC are implementing in the Clubhouse

  • EVERYONE must sign in via the Qld Government APP for contact tracing when entering the Clubhouse, if you do not have a phone you will need to sign in via the IPAD provided.  By using the Qld Government APP you only need to register once and then each time you visit the club you simply just check in. Please note that the Queensland Government will make this mandatory from 1st May 2021, therefore all patrons will need to check in via the Queensland Government check in APP
  • Face masks MUST BE worn when entering the Clubhouse. Anyone not wearing a face mask when entering and whilst in the clubhouse will be asked to leave the premises.  Face masks can only be removed when eating or drinking.
  • Everyone MUST be seated at all times in Clubhouse except when ordering drinks/food or moving from area to area. If you have been asked to be seated and continually stand up, you will also be asked to leave the premises.
  • When paying for anything in the clubhouse "PAYWAVE" and using your E-Wallett are the only forms of payment that the staff will accept.  NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. This will ensure that we provide a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Maintain at least 1.5m from patrons however we recommend 2m distance from other patrons
  • Wash hands regularly and sanitise

These rules have been implemented in line with Government Restrictions, please do not challenge the staff over being asked to wear a mask or to be seated.

Please note – The Clubhouse will not open until Saturday 3rd April 2021. Our liquor licence does not allow us to open Good Friday (Friday 2nd April) and we ask all members not to bring their own alcohol onto the golf course.

Government Restrictions maybe imposed at short notice, therefore we may make potential changes to clubhouse and course opening hours and staffing/service levels.

Specific Changes RGC are implementing on the Course and in the Proshop

  • All ball washers, bubblers and water fountains are not to be used unless you use your own sanitiser to sanitise your hands before and after use.
  • Motorised carts – You MUST wear a mask when sharing a cart. Cart bookings are essential.
  • Do not pick up or touch another player's golf clubs or golf balls
  • Rakes will be removed from bunkers. If a player's ball lands in a footprint they are entitled to place the ball in the bunker within a card length.
  • Flag is to remain in the hole and remove ball with gloved hand or if you don't use a glove then use something suitable such as a hankie or paper towel etc
  • Social distancing - maintain a distance of at least 1.5 metres from other players
  • Face masks MUST BE worn when entering the pro shop. Anyone not wearing a face mask when entering and whilst in the pro shop will NOT BE able to play golf and will be asked to leave the premises.
  • When paying for anything in the pro shop "PAYWAVE" and using your E-Wallett are the only forms of payment that the staff will accept.  NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. This will ensure that we provide a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Players are not to register themselves into the competition via the touch screens, all players will be registered by the pro shop staff
  • Printer will be placed on the counter and the player will retrieve their own score card from there, it is preferable if players use the MISCORE APP.
  • Players to mark and sign their own card. Just write the markers' name in the marker's signature section otherwise your score card will not scan.
  • Leave your golf glove on your hand to confirm score on touch screen or alternatively use a tissue provided and dispose of tissue immediately after use in the bin provided.
  • IMPORTANT!!!  YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 1.5 METRES FROM ANOTHER PERSON, and you MUST NOT touch another person under any circumstances unless in the case of an emergency.

We ask all members and visitors to ensure they 'do the right thing' and respect the seriousness of this situation. The very last thing the club needs is to become a hotspot and be closed for longer than the Government Directive.  We would like to continue to keep the course open however if players are not doing the right thing, they will face disciplinary action and it may result in the course being closed.

AS PREVIOUSLY ADVISED THE GOVERNMENT MAKE CHANGES WITH VERY OR LITTLE NOTICE AND THE ABOVE MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME.

The Clubhouse and Halfway House will remain closed until Saturday 3rd April 2021..
