Tuesday 23rd November

Our presentation afternoon themed 'Bright White, Bold Gold" was a great success.  Prior to the formalities we had a load of laughter and  some questionable dance moves with Mr Giggles

Trivia. Congratulations to all of our winners over the past year, and for those of us who supported their achievements. Farewell to departing Committee members L to R Paula O'Reilly, Nola Z, Jenny Somers, Audine Coveny, Helen Stuart, Annette Murray, and thanks to Sue Clapham for signing on for another year as our Senior Delegate.

Our final event of the year Irish Fourball Christmas Theme was a great success with our ladies dressing up as their favorite Christmas theme. Our winning dress up group was the Christmas Gifts with left to right Kerrie Slinger, Paula Peck, Mary Pie and Annette Murray. Best cart decoration was the Devils, Margaret Johnson and Carmen Railton. 

The winning team was Audine Coveney, Trish Clowes, Jenny Somers and Margaret O’Sullivan. Runners Up were Christine Robson, Paula O’Reilly, Margaret Johnson and Carmen Railton.


The 2021 Womens committee went to Shields St Eats for a get together and celebration night out.  The pizzas were great and service terrific in a lovely atmosphere.

There were some good scores, notably Sue Clapham who scored 67 nett.

The Division 1 winner was Carole Alexander (second from left), pictured with the sponsors: Paula (left), Janette and Helen. Runner-up was Alison Davies, pictured in the right photo with the sponsors.


Sue Clapham was the Division 2 winner, and Shirley Millar was runner-up, pictured in the photo on the right.


Lucky draw prize winners were Robyn Pollock and Margaret O’Sullivan, pictured below.


Tuesday 14th September - Dorothy Banks Charity Day
Redcliffe women hosted a very successful 39th Dorothy Banks Charity Day on Tuesday 14 September with 110 players taking the field, of which 50 were guests from other clubs including Virginia, Wantima, Caboolture, Nudgee, Wynnum, Woodford and Pelican Waters.

Thank you to all for your donations as "Together we can outsmart cancer".  There were some special contributions from the Dolphin Golfers Club Inc, the Redcliffe Veteran's Golfers Club and our longstanding club member and Past President Jill Adams.  The total amount we raised was $3,000.00.

It is also the small acts of kindness that help us to make these days a success. Thanks are due to Mark Stanley and his grounds staff, Chris Adnams and his Pro-shop team, and Kerry Newsome and her team for helping out in so many ways.  Finally, a thanks to the 2021 Women's Committee who generously gave their time in preparing for this wonderful event.

Winning was a family affair for the team of Maureen Misso, Tania Jamrozy, Gail Chorley, and Deanna Cruickshank.

The runner-up team consisted of Robyn Fortescue, Lynne Matthew, Vonnie Moncur and Robyn Pollock.

Thursday 26th August, May Thompson Trophy Final
This was a team match play event.

Thursday 8th July - Pennant vs Caddy Day

The women celebrated their end of pennant season with a pennant/caddy day in the clubhouse on Thursday 8th July.  Thank you to all who participated in the pennant teams including the caddies.


Tuesday 22nd June - Hairjamm Sponsor Day (Luke Weber)

The postponed Single Stableford event sponsored by Luke Weber of HairJamm (http://www.hairjamm.com/) was held, in conjunction with the QLD versus the rest competition, which QLD won this year.

Our captain, Karen Nash won the raffle, the prize being a large basket of Hairjamm products; a just reward for the effort Karen has put into organising many events lately including the Peninsula Trophy and the Womens Championship.

Friday 4th June

Nola Z and Cherie Molloy won the B Grade Autumn trophy today against Caroline Donnelly and Anne AdamsonπŸ‘. Well done to all for getting to the finals. πŸ˜€

Thursday 3rd June 

Today the ladies C grade Autumn Cup was played with the final holes played  on a drizzly course. Congratulations to our winners Shirley Millar & Jenny Somers & commiserations to Elsa Arahill & Lorraine Farley


Tuesday 18th May

Sixty-nine women took the field for the Single Stableford sponsored event.  Four members: Pam Lever, Jenny Beech, Liz McMillan and Christine Sharpe were the sponsors.

 Pam Lever knitted the beautiful woollen rugs that were the first prizes in Divisions 1 and 2.

The Div.2 winner was Marcella Docherty pictured below.

Tuesday 11th May

Dolphins Golf Club Inc. sponsored a 4 Ball Ambrose on Tuesday. Seventy-three women and four men from Dolphins Golf Club Inc, Steve Dowsett, Paul Cox, Shane Kreuger and Peter McEwan, played in the event.

Winners, pictured below, were: (left to right) Sue Clapham, Sonia Horley, Annette Hendry and Annette Murray with the Dolphin Golf Club Inc. representatives, named above, who played in the event.


The runners up were:  Netta McCullough, Janette Cooper, Jean Thomas and Lynda Mackenzie. Jean and Janette are pictured below with the sponsor representatives.


Our Women’s Matchplay for 2021 ended up being a hard fought game that went all the way through to the 19th hole. Congratulations to both finalists for making the final cut πŸ‘.


The eventual Women’s Matchplay Winner 2021 was Robyn Pollock (pictured R) and Runner-up Darlene O’Shea (pictured L).  

Tuesday 4th May

It has been raining a lot at Redcliffe so our qualifying event for the Autumn Trophy on Tuesday was played on a wet course. The 4BBB net stroke event was sponsored by Turnbull Constructions. Thirty pairs played. The Winners were Alison Greenhatch and Claire Jackson, with runners up Paula O’Reilly and Debra Duane, pictured below with our sponsor Natalie Turnbull.


The quarter finals of the Autumn Trophy event have been postponed until next Thursday 13th May due to a very wet course with no carts.  We are all hopeful that the course will dry out by then, although the rain is appreciated.  For more information on the Draw for the Autumn Trophy this is available on the front page of our Redcliffe Golf Website.  

Tuesday 20th April

It was another beautiful day at golf on Tuesday as we played a Single v Par event, sponsored by Malyon Quality Homes. Sixty-seven women played, including Rosalie Malyon, our sponsor, pictured here with Division 1 winner, Darlene O'Shea (left). The division 1 runner-up was Alison Davies pictured in the photo on the right.


Div 2 winner was Aileen Jurcynski and Lorraine Farley was the runner-up.


Tuesday 13th April 2021

Sixty-five ladies played on Tuesday 13 April in bright sunny weather. We were glad to be able to play again after the rain cancellations of the last two weeks. 

The event was a single stableford, sponsored by Scarborough Physio and Heath. Despite the renovated greens, some women were able to score well.

Below are the A and B grade winners pictured with our sponsor Nick Schuster, director of Scarborough Physio and Health.

Jocelyn Schulze was the A grade winner and Elsa Arahill was the winner in B grade 


 Runner up in A grade was Darlene O’Shea and B grade, Jill Hanley, pictured below.

Thursday 11th March 2021

Tuesday 2nd March 2021
Redcliffe Ladies hosted our Open Day which was sponsored by Shields St EATS. It was a very successful event with 127 players, of which 60 were guests from other clubs. The photo below shows ladies enjoying their luncheon just prior to presentations. 


Sadly, no one claimed Shield St EATS the hole-in-one jackpot on the Hole 11 which has blown out to $6100.


The A grade winner was Jo Horton from Redcliffe, pictured below with ladies president Paula O’Reilly. Wendy Edmiston from Nudgee was A grade runner-up.


B Grade winner from Virginia Golf Club was Ann Squires, and Gayle Steggles from Redcliffe was runner-up.


C Grade winner was Wantima player Catherine Smithers and Shirley Miller from Redcliffe was runner-up.
