The Dolphin Golfers Club Inc. formed by John Brockie, Clive Black, Mick Worboys, and Jimmy Caruthers was established in 1971 and has a mutually shared and cherished history with the Redcliffe Golf Club.

All Dolphins are full members of the Redcliffe Golf Club and have a blocked tee time of 1 hour at the beginning of the Saturday competition. They are responsible for setting the pace of play for the day and with that comes strict oversight of playing times, by both the Redcliffe Golf Club and Dolphin’s management. The Dolphin’s committee and members understand that this privilege carries with it a great responsibility.  

All 7-day members of the Redcliffe Golf Club are welcome to join the Dolphins, however numbers are limited to a maximum of 55 members and 44 players on competition day, due to the limited tee time.

Members are expected to play a minimum of 2 games per month on average. At the end of the round the Dolphins have their weekly trophy presentations in the Clubhouse, where many members also support the bar, poker machines, and caterer. Trophies are in the form of cash contributions to your e-wallet and can be spent in the Proshop or over the bar.

It is important to understand that the Dolphins is not just a convenience for an early hit off time, but values the camaraderie, fellowship, and support of all its members which is just as strong today as it was back in 1971. The Dolphins are proud sponsors of the Redcliffe Golf Club members, including the women and sub- junior members, and the hole in one prize on the second hole for all monthly medal events.

New members are elected by committee via a secret ballot of all current nominations when a membership vacancy becomes available. Once becoming a member, the club Captain will arrange your group playing partners or you may arrange your own.
