Sub-Juniors
Welcome to the Redcliffe Golf Club Sub-Juniors. We are the grass roots level of golf where future champions have the opportunity to develop their skills.

If any of your family or friends are interested in taking up golf then this is the perfect way to start. Our focus is to provide a fully inclusive pathway from beginners through our junior program integrating into the member’s mainstream competition.
Coaching clinics are conducted every Saturday afternoon from 2.00-3.00pm where children are taught the fundamental core skills to enable them to take to the course. We also provide a Disability Golf (all ages) program through Special Olympics with clinics conducted every second Saturday from 3.00-4.00pm.
When a desired skill level is obtained the participants in these clinics advance to our 8 hole and 11 hole competitions which are conducted every Saturday from 1.00pm. A handicap system has been developed where children can advance from 8 holes to 11 holes while acquiring a skill level that allows them to compete in the main member’s 18 holes competition.
This pathway has been successful with past sub-junior players representing the Redcliffe Golf Club in pennants and many have gone on to win major events in our main member’s competition. The club also has two Special Olympic athletes representing Australia at the Special Olympics World Games in Greece in June this year.
To ensure the ongoing success of the sub-junior program, we rely on sponsorships and donations, so if there are any members who would like to contribute to our program it would be greatly appreciated. Donations or sponsorships can be made through the Redcliffe GC administration office or you can contact Brendan Monaghan or Darren Raetz for more information. Our prizes for weekly events range between $80.00- $120.00 and larger amounts for our major events like foursomes championships and club championships.
We thank those members who have given previous support to our sub juniors and look forward to welcoming fresh support from other members.
Yours in golf
