Kirsty Hodgkins Update

14 November 2018

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for not sending regular updates these past couple weeks, it has been back-to-back-to-back tournaments and the days I was actually in CO I had exams to take.

The past three tournaments have been fairly successful, it has been a frustrating semester as I have hit the ball really well, I just couldn't make a putt to save my life but the last tournament we played I finally figured it out.

We played in Austin, Texas a couple weeks ago, I finished tied 13th with scores of 74, 72, 70. I was surprised that this tournament still went ahead as the course was nearly flooded and it rained all three days. There was casual water everywhere and you just had to play from the spot that had the least amount of water.

Next was Dallas, Texas where i finished 4th with scores of 74, 72, 72. It was played at Trinity Forest which is where a PGA event is played so the greens were very fast and slopy and it was a challenge to keep the ball on the green sometimes but I love playing this course.

Lastly we played at Nanea in Hawaii on the Big Island which is always amazing. It was an all PAC-12 field and I managed to finish tied 3rd with 76, 69, 70. I had an interesting double on the first day and if I didn't have that I would've had a shot at winning. So the game is definitely there which is nice to see and hopefully it carries over to the spring season.

Fall season is now finished and I have a week of midterms before we get thanksgiving break. (I cannot wait for a break, it is most definitely needed right now). Unfortunately I will not be coming home for Christmas as I will be visiting family out in England but I am planning to come back next August.

I miss my Redcliffe family but thank you all for continuing to follow and support me as I play and compete over here in the states.

Thank you all

Kirsty xx
