QLD Boys and Girls Amateur

04 July 2019

Some solid results in today's final round.

Ti-Shon Wai Wai returned a 75 to finish in 21st place while Tyler Duncan's 73 saw him finish the Championship tied for 5th. Pretty sound efforts.

Amy Hodgkins didn't qualify for the final two rounds of the main event BUT.....

She WON the J R McCracken plate with rounds of 32 and 34 points over the last two days.

Well done Amy and also to the boys.

After a disastrous back 9 which included a 10, Tyler Duncan had a 78 and is in 5th place,  9 strokes behind the leader.

Ti-Shon Wai Wai is in  26th spot after a 76 today (Thurs)

Amy Hodgkins missed the cut for the open division but is lying 2nd in the 14 and under J R McCraken Plate, 4 points off the lead after returning 32 points today.

After 2 rounds in the Qld Boys' Amateur, the leader is at 135 (-7). Tyler Duncan is in 2nd place on 140 (67/73) with Ti shon Wai Wai in 34th place on 152 (74/78).

In the Girls' Amateur, Amy Hodgkins, on 163 (79/84), is in 25th place 27 shots off the pace.

Good Luck to Amy Hodgkins, Tyler Duncan and Ti Shon Wai Wai in these Championships which are being at Carbrook from the 2nd to the 5th July over 72 holes.

Interesting, in the boys' field of 114, the  first 100 are on a handicap of 6.3 or less!

We also wish the best to Amy again and to Matthys Visser, Tom Strybis, Archie and Bailey at the Two Day Winter Classic at Keperra on the 8th and 9th of July.
