PLEASE BE AWARE THIS IS A TRIAL AS THE COURSE IS STILL VERY WET IN PLACES HOWEVER IF MEMBERS AND VISITORS DO NOT FOLLOW RULES SET DOWN BY THE COMMITTEE IT WILL JEOPARDISE THE USE OF MOTORISED BUGGIES IN THE FUTURE AFTER RAIN. Jarrod Stirling competed in the Aaron Baddeley World Junior Final at Lion Lake Country Club in China from 1st to 4th December and shot rounds of 79, 73, 80 and 77. Jarrod came 19th overall which is a tremendous effort. Jarrod would like to thank all members that supported his fundraising or sponsorship for this trip.

Due to the Monthly Peninsula Challenge being affected by rain on Wednesday 7.12.11 it has now been rescheduled to Wednesday 14.12.11.

Unfortunately the Club is having difficulties in pumping the recycled water at night due to water quality issues at the treatment plant. We have not been able to pump water at night for the past 1 1/2 weeks therefore at times we have had to close the course during the day to pump water onto the course in particular the greens and tees. Unity Water have advised the Club that the treatment plant is being upgraded which will take approximately 2 years and during this time our water supply cannot be guaranteed. The Committee and Management are looking at other options to ensure we have water for the course.

The mixed foursomes championship winners for 2011 were Alison Greenhatch and Brad Dagan after a playoff against Tony Rendell and Rhondelle Ollett on Sunday 6.11.11

The Redcliffe Golf Club’s Annual Christmas Tree will be held on Sunday 4th December commencing at 2.00pm. The Xmas Tree is an annual event for Members children or grandchildren.The cost is $16.00 per child for children 10 years and under which includes a present from Santa, merry go round, jumping castle, Old Macdonald’s Farm, fairy floss and snow cones. This is a great family day out which is held on the 1st fairway. Bookings accompanied by the payment of $16.00 per child are to be made at the office. Please note that bookings will close on Friday 18.11.11 and no late bookings will be accepted.

The Saturday time sheet for one week in advance is now open for bookings via the internet on 8.00am on the Saturday after the Friday night draw effective immediately.

The qualifying round for the 4Ball knockout has been rescheduled to Saturday 22nd October. The first round of match play will be Saturday 29th October, 1/4 final Saturday 5th November, Semi final Saturday 12th November and the Final on Sunday 13th November. If any finalists are unable to play their matches on the designated Saturdays they can organise to play on the Sunday.
